Billy Buffet’s Unlimited Pizza Buffet (OLV)
When I worked as creative director in-house at Cicis Pizza, one of the many marketing windows we created was this infomercial-style concept inspired by the meme-worthy appeal of spokesperson Phil Swift and Flex Seal. The goal was to reinforce Cicis Pizza’s biggest claim of unlimited pizza, pasta, salad and desert all for a great value. It’s Unbeatable. It’s Unbelievable. It’s Unlimited!
Fun Fact: This concept reminded me of the joys of copywriting. You mean to tell me all I had to do was write, “And then a marching band comes in…” and low and behold a bus full of uniformed high school band students pulls up outside the studio? The pen mighty, indeed.
Branding
When I started working for the company, Cicis had just launched a new brand albeit an incomplete one. My team and I got the chance to take what was started and finish it out, making it our own with a complete brand book.
